A brooding Heathcote Shiraz, rich in personality with spice, power, and a wild streak of complexity.
Tasting Notes
Jammy black fruits, anise and a whisper of tobacco lead into robust, earthy tannins. A flicker of white pepper and clove spices carries through a long, warming finish.
Vineyard & Winemaking
Harvested in the cool of early morning, fermented on skins for 10 days, and matured in oak for full malolactic fermentation. A bold expression of Heathcote’s volcanic soils.
Food Pairing
Best with chargrilled steak, venison or smoked eggplant.
How to Serve
Best served between 15°C to 17°C. Too warm and the alcohol dominates, too cold and you miss the spice. Serve Shiraz at a slightly cooler temp than you’d expect — it draws out the wine’s complexity, from juicy black fruits to savoury pepper and oak.
